Knowledgeable, friendly, engaging, and clear. She went above and beyond after the tour ended, when she walked us across town to the Brera district to show us a restaurant for lunch (it was really good and the owner extended his hospitality to us). In the tour proper she conveyed so many interesting details about the Duomo and the other sites she could immediately respond to bits and pieces we knew, filling in or even correcting us in the nicest way possible. “Fedra was our guide in Milan and accompanied us (twelve of us) on a mosaics tour of northern Italy. Her knowledge of Milan and of art history in particular is excellent. She is vivacious, exceptionally thoughtful and caring of those she guides and travels with. Her excitement about places we visited was obvious - it was impossible not to absorb her enthusiasm. Fedra is more than a travel guide with expert knowledge; she is also a tour leader. Nothing was too much trouble for Fedra. She helped us with our different and sometimes strange everyday needs: where to buy comfortable shoes, how to avoid food allergens, how to ask for smaller servings of food in ways that did not offend restaurant staff. She was always on time (even before time). She protected us on the streets, made sure that we were all together and happy, counted us constantly, spoke to us all as she would speak to friends, was interested in our lives and where we came from, joined us for lunches and dinners and even joined the mosaics classes we had signed up to attend.
