  • Hi Fedra,

You probably won’t remember the Mann family from London. You spent a whole day showing us around Milan in August 2016. I thought you would like to know that you were somewhat of an inspiration. Our eldest daughter Isabelle, after that summer, went on to to take a gap year, before she went to university. For part of her gap year she decided to study history of art and Italian in Florence. This summer she has just finished her first year at university in Durham. For 5 weeks this summer she lived and worked in Milan as an intern. She had a wonderful time. I am not sure she would have chosen to work in Milan if you had not made us feel so positive about the city on that day back in August 2016. Anyway, we have the daughter of a friend coming to Milan in the next few weeks and we have told her to contact you. Look out for an email from Venice McGauley.

    Best wishes,

    The Mann family, Richmond, London

  • We will visit Porta Nuova, the new amazing neighborhood of Milan dedicated to businesses, residents and leisure time with skyscrapers and innovative architecture. The UniCredit spire of tower, the “Vertical forest", Pirelli Tower, Diamond buildings, and the "library of the trees", creating the new square of Milan where people gather to meet and chill out.

CityLife is the largest new civic space and public park since Parco Sempione opened 130 years ago and represents the "new born" Milan. The three towers of CityLife: Straight, by Japanese architect Arata Isozaky; Twisted, designed by Zaha Hadid, and Curved by Daniel Libenskind, completely transform the skyline of Milan.

On request, we may add the visit of the Prada Foundation. In this case, car is necessary.

  • The Fashion District (or Golden Rectangle) is one of the most exclusive areas of Milan and displays the most classy and trendy brands. You’ll get familiar with the life and style of Valentino, Versace, Prada, Ferrè, Ferretti, Ferragamo, Dolce&Gabbana, Cavalli, Gucci, Moschino and, of course, Giorgio Armani. From Wednesday to Sunday, we may also visit Armani Silos, the museum of Giorgio Armani.

  • Despite its name, The Monumental Cemetery is actually an open open air museum. One of kind and filled with massive opulence and an impressive array of architecture and sculptures made by the finest artists of the last century.

  • We will visit one of the hidden gems of the city off the beaten paths of mass tourism - the incredible Picture Gallery of Brera, a magnificent collection of paintings from the 1300’s to the 1900’s.

We will then walk through Brera, one of the most traditional districts of the city. The apartments in this area are today among the most requested in town. We will admire the window designs of small shops, and of course the local Osterias.
